Owner: First Baptist North Spartanburg
Project: Carpet Replacement
Products: Compound by Aladdin Commercial & Hook Up by Shaw Industries
This past summer, our team at Hodge Floors was thrilled to work on a carpet replacement project at First Baptist North Spartanburg.
Not only do churches like First Baptist North Spartanburg serve as a spiritual and learning gathering place, they’re also community gathering places where people eat, learn, grow, and have events! When you think about it in these terms, it’s important that the flooring complements the space, but also be durable and functional for decades to come.
Hodge Floors replaced the carpet tiles of the dining facility, hallway and many classrooms. Here are some before and after pictures:
Before | After |
For the dining room, hallway and stage, we installed the “Compound” by Aladdin Commercial (a division of Mohawk Carpets). This beautiful carpet tile is produced from excess yarn lots of multi colored yarns, providing bold colors to the installation and at the same time using recycled content! Each carpet tile is quarter turned which also subtly enhances the overall pattern in the dining room.
For the classrooms and hallways in Building B, we installed “Hook Up” by Shaw Industries. This carpet tile incorporates a geometric multi-level pattern loop with heathered yarns making for an ideal choice in this high use environment. We again used the quarter turn carpet tile installation technique to maximize the look and feel in these spaces.
The result is a beautiful, refreshed gathering space that will serve many generations of First Baptist North Spartanburg for years to come. Check out the “before and after” photos to see the transformation that new floors can do for spaces like these.
