Recent projects like the Meeting Street Academy expansion truly inspire our Hodge Floors family. We felt honored to take on the installation of new flooring for this “school on the grow!”

For the Meeting Street Academy Expansion project, we sought to be both creative and practical in the selection of our flooring products. For instance, the flooring would need to be inspirational, but not distracting for the students. They would also need to compliment the broader design aesthetic that included earthy bold hues as well visual icons like stars, curved lines, and blades of grass. Perhaps most importantly, these floors would need to stand up the “pitter patter” of little feet for many years to come.

Specified by Interior Designer Lynne Wilson from McMillan Pazdan Smith, we installed Milliken Carpet Tiles in the offices, and J&J Kinetex Woven Tiles in the multipurpose room. Durable and vibrant Armstrong Luxury Vinyl Tiles were used in the hallways, Nora Rubber Flooring in the Art Rooms, and colorful, custom cut Forbo Linoleum Flooring in the lobby..

It’s exciting to think that we had a small part to play in inspiring some of Spartanburg’s young learners, who are likely to become future leaders in our community! Here’s to a wonderful “back to school” for Meeting Street Academy.
